Laurence Fox apologises for ‘demeaning’ comments made on GB News

GB News presenter Laurence Fox has apologized for making "demeaning" comments about political journalist Ava Evans during a discussion on Dan Wootton Tonight. Fox and Wootton were suspended by GB News, and an investigation by regulator Ofcom is underway following around 7,300 complaints about the episode. Fox expressed anger towards Evans for comments she made on a BBC debate about male suicide, but admitted his remarks were inappropriate and apologized for demeaning her. He also anticipated being fired by GB News and criticized the channel for not standing up for free speech, suggesting they are susceptible to cancel culture.
