Guyana, a country in South America, is projected to be the world's fastest-growing economy, potentially growing by over 100% by 2028. This growth is largely driven by profits from its oil production and export sector. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts a growth rate of 38% for Guyana by the end of this year. BMI, a Fitch Solutions research unit, also expects "explosive" growth for Guyana and predicts its real GDP to rise about 115% in the next five years. However, this growth is dependent on political stability, high oil prices, and diversification of the country's economy.
