UP: Class 10 Student Detained in Bareilly District for ‘Objectionable Remarks’ Against Hindu Gods, Goddesses

A 15-year-old student in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, was detained for allegedly making objectionable remarks about Hindu Gods and goddesses on social media. The remarks caused resentment among Hindu organizations, and BJP leaders demanded action against the student. The police registered a case under the Information Technology Act and the teenager was sent to a child remand home.
