Lecturer Lynette Hodges has received a $25,000 grant from the ME Society to further her research on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also known as ME. She aims to use the grant to monitor heart rate over 25 days in order to assess the boom and bust cycles experienced by individuals with the syndrome and potentially prevent them. Hodges believes that chronic fatigue syndrome is often misunderstood and predicts it will become a bigger issue due to the similar symptoms seen in long Covid.
