Blues shake-up confirmed as Fittler’s key man quits

Greg Alexander, a key adviser to New South Wales' Origin team, has announced that he will be stepping down from his role. Alexander informed head coach Brad Fittler last week that the 2023 State of Origin series would be his last. The decision comes after six years in the role, during which the Blues had both successes and failures. Alexander, 58, stated that he would have quit even if the team had won this year's series. He will continue to work with his club team, Penrith Panthers. Fittler's contract as coach of the Blues has not been renewed yet.
