Microsoft to sell AI assistant software to biggest clients starting Nov. 1

Starting from November 1, large companies will be able to purchase Microsoft 365 Copilot, an artificial intelligence (AI) supplement to Microsoft's core productivity apps. This AI tool, developed in collaboration with OpenAI, will utilize OpenAI's GPT-4 large language model. Microsoft aims to enhance its Office applications, which currently contribute 24% of the company's total revenue. The Copilot in Microsoft 365 can assist corporate workers in preparing documents, presentations, and finding information from emails. The launch of Copilot is expected to generate significant revenue for Microsoft in CY2025. Google offers a similar AI tool called Duet AI for Google Workspace.
