Daniel Khalife, a terror suspect, has pleaded not guilty to escaping from HMP Wandsworth where he was awaiting trial. He was arrested on September 9 after a nationwide manhunt and appeared in court via videolink from HMP Belmarsh. Khalife is accused of escaping the prison by strapping himself under a food delivery truck using bedsheets with clips. He was awaiting trial on charges including obtaining information useful to the enemy and perpetrating a bomb hoax. The charges have now been joined and Khalife will be tried at Woolwich Crown Court on November 13.
