Former London mayor Ken Livingstone has Alzheimer’s

Former London Mayor Ken Livingstone has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, his family has announced. The 78-year-old, who was a prominent figure in London politics for over four decades, is now retired and living a private life. His family stated that he is being well cared for and asked for privacy and understanding. Livingstone, also known as "Red Ken," served as the first mayor of London and was praised for his response to the 2005 bombings and his role in securing the 2012 Olympic Games. He left the Labour Party in 2018 amid allegations of anti-Semitism.
