“Take the Money and Run” artist ordered to return cash

Danish Artist Jens Haaning was given $84,000 by a museum to create a work of art but instead pocketed the Money and turned in two blank canvases titled "Take the Money and Run." The museum initially accepted the artwork, but after a legal battle, Haaning has been ordered to return $70,623. The stunt was meant to question artists' rights and working conditions in the art industry. This incident is reminiscent of other art antics, such as Banksy's self-shredding artwork and the banana duct-taped to a wall that was later eaten.
