Anti-GPS Jamming, Identification Devices Developed by IIT Jammu Nearing Completion: Officials

Two projects being developed by IIT Jammu and CST Advanced Systems in collaboration aim to protect GPS-enabled assets from jamming and identify friendly forces during counter-terrorism operations. The projects include an anti-GPS jamming device and an Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) device. The anti-GPS jamming device is small-sized and lightweight, while the IFF device operates using RF mesh and can detect friendly forces in various conditions. The IFF device can be mounted or attached to personnel, vehicles, tanks, drones, and helicopters. CST has been supplying communication and surveillance equipment to the forces since 2018.
