Guide Dogs charity HQ rocked by incurable canine-to-human disease

Two young Guide Dogs at the Guide Dogs Charity headquarters in the UK have been put in quarantine after testing positive for Brucella canis, an incurable disease that can be transmitted to humans. The dogs are the first guide dogs to test positive for the disease, which has seen a surge in cases due to imported pet dogs flooding the UK market. The charity is now working on a scheme to find remote fosterers for the dogs and is calling for clearer guidelines on actions to be taken if a dog tests positive for the disease.
