BP CEO Bernard Looney out after past relationships with coworkers

BP Ceo Bernard Looney has resigned after admitting that he was not fully transparent about his past relationships with colleagues. The company's board reviewed allegations regarding Looney's conduct last year but found no breach of company rules. However, further similar allegations surfaced, leading Looney to accept that he was not fully transparent. BP's chief financial officer, Murray Auchincloss, will replace Looney on an interim basis. Looney had previously committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and increasing investments in low-carbon projects by 2030.
