One in Five Successful Couples have ‘Nothing in Common’ – Showing Opposites DO Attract

A study commissioned by Sky Atlantic found that one in five couples admit to having nothing in common, confirming that opposites do attract. The study of 2,000 adults in a relationship revealed that 24% have different hobbies, 14% have different music tastes, and 51% have different appearances, which initially sparked the attraction. However, couples are more likely to align on food and holiday preferences than on film taste or jobs. While 22% of those polled consciously changed their interests to match their partner's, a quarter believe that couples with opposing interests are more likely to stay together.
