An Uzbek national was apprehended at Delhi International Airport for concealing over 3 lakh US Dollars (worth about Rs 2.52 crore) in bed sheets. The passenger was bound for Dubai and was intercepted during security checks. The suspicious bedsheets were physically opened, revealing the hidden currency wrapped in plastic covers. The organic material of both the currency and cloth made it difficult to differentiate during X-ray screening. The CISF handed over the passenger and the currency to the Customs department for further investigation.
