Niger: crowds rally in Niamey demanding French troops leave

Nigerien demonstrators gathered near a French military base in Niamey to demand the departure of French troops from their country. The protesters expressed their anger towards France, claiming that they had caused the deaths of their loved ones. 1,500 French troops are currently deployed in Niger to assist in the fight against terrorism.
