A team of Japanese and Peruvian archaeologists has uncovered the tomb of a 3,000-year-old Priest in northern Peru. The tomb, located at the Pacopampa archaeological site, contained ceramic offerings and two seals with anthropomorphic and jaguar designs. The body was found with its lower extremities partially flexed and oriented from south to north. The discovery is significant as it suggests the presence of powerful leaders in the Andes region during that time period. The Pacopampa site also includes other notable burials, such as the "Lady of Pacopampa" and two "Jaguar Serpent priests."
