Remains ID’d as Jewish resistance hero executed by Nazis in 1943

Dutch forensic investigators have identified the remains of Bernard Luza, a Jewish Resistance Hero executed by the Nazis in 1943. Luza was shot by firing squad after being arrested in 1942 during a raid on a factory in northern Amsterdam. His body was discovered in a grave with four others near Schiphol Airport in 1945. Luza's remains were buried in a nameless grave until they were finally identified using DNA technology. Luza's wife and daughter were also killed in the Sobibor concentration camp, and many of his family members died in Auschwitz and Sobibor.
