Chinese man arrested after riding jet ski nearly 200 miles to South Korea

A Chinese national was arrested by South Korea's coast guard after attempting to enter the country on a Jet Ski from China, covering a distance of almost 200 miles. The man, identified as Chinese rights activist Kwon Pyong, used binoculars and a compass to navigate and carried five barrels of fuel. He was arrested after getting stuck near Incheon and calling for rescue. While authorities found no evidence of espionage, Kwon had been critical of China's authoritarian rule and had previously been jailed for subversion. He now seeks to go to an English-speaking country.
