Pen Pals Finally Get to Meet in Person–68 Years After They Began Writing Letters Back and Forth

Patsy Gregory and Carol-Ann Krause, both 80 years old, have been Pen Pals since 1955 when they were girl scouts on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean. They exchanged over 800 letters but had never met in person. However, Patsy's family surprised her with a ticket to visit Carol-Ann in Conway, South Carolina for her birthday in June. They finally met on July 14th and had an emotional reunion. The pair spent time together, reminiscing about their friendship, and enjoying local sights. Their story highlights the lasting power of pen pal friendships.
