Hong Kong delays Jimmy Lai trial as police question woman linked to exiled lawmaker

Hong Kong has again postponed the national security trial of media mogul Jimmy Lai until December 18. Lai, founder of the pro-democracy Apple Daily newspaper, faces charges of “conspiracy to collude with foreign forces” and “collusion with foreign forces” under Beijing's security law. He is currently serving time for fraud. Meanwhile, Hong Kong police have questioned a woman with ties to exiled former lawmaker Nathan Law. Law is among eight activists in exile with arrest warrants and bounties on their heads. The delayed trial and questioning are seen as escalations in the application of the national security law against opposition figures.
