Crooked House campaigners stage sit-in to stop removal work

Campaigners have staged a sit-in protest near the remains of the Crooked House pub after a demolition and waste management firm began work on the site. The pub, known for its wonky walls and floors, was destroyed in a fire and subsequently demolished. Workers on the site have been cleaning and storing bricks, as well as assessing the risk of asbestos from the rubble. The local council is investigating the incident and has not commented on any potential enforcement action. Protesters are demanding access to the site to witness the ongoing work.
