Firefighters in western Canada are battling wildfires as the country experiences its worst fire season on record. Despite receiving reinforcements and milder weather, Firefighters are still facing a serious situation, with drier and windier weather forecasted. The capital of the Northwest Territories, Yellowknife, has been evacuated, with only emergency teams, firefighters, utility workers, and some residents remaining. Canada has seen over 5,700 fires, burning more than 137,000 square kilometers, and all of British Columbia is under a state of emergency. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau praised the responders and assured those affected that "we've got your back."
