As Chandrayaan-3, Luna-25 Vie for Moon’s South Pole, MoS Jitendra Singh Says ‘No Animosity with Russia’

India's Minister of State for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, has stated that there is no animosity or competition with Russia as India's Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft aims to land on the Moon's south pole. Singh highlighted the historical collaboration between the two countries, including the first Indian astronaut's trip to the Moon aboard a Russian rocket. Concerns have been raised about potential clashes between the signals of Luna-25 and Chandrayaan-3, but Singh assured that they are following different routes and estimated that they would be about 400 km apart upon landing. The design of Chandrayaan-3 has taken into account the lessons learned from the Chandrayaan-2 mission.
