Rabbitohs rocked by death of grand final hero

South Sydney has been saddened by the sudden Death of Kyle Turner, a 2014 grand final winner at the age of 31. Turner, who represented both NSW Country and the Indigenous All Stars, had a remarkable journey to rugby league fame after being discovered by club scouts in his hometown of Coonabarabran. He played 25 games in his debut season with the Bunnies and went on to have a successful career until a serious neck injury forced him to retire. Turner later returned to Coonabarabran and became a school teacher. Immediate support can be sought through Lifeline or emergency services.
