New Jersey shutters 27 Boston Market restaurants over unpaid wages, related worker issues

The New Jersey Department of Labor has temporarily closed down 27 Boston Market Restaurants in the state due to violations of workers' rights, including over $600,000 in unpaid wages for 314 employees. The state has also imposed penalties of nearly $2.6 million against the company. The investigation began in November after a worker filed a complaint, and since then, several additional complaints have been received. Boston Market has requested a hearing to challenge the state's findings.
