Axe hangs over coach after ‘total humiliation’

The West Coast Eagles are considering axing Coach Adam Simpson after their "total humiliation" against Fremantle, according to AFL personality Eddie McGuire. Simpson has struggled with injuries and lack of personnel in the 2023 season, winning only two games so far. The decision on Simpson's future is imminent, and he has expressed a desire for a quick exit if his tenure is to be ended. McGuire also hinted that other Eagles staff may be axed, as the team looks to make changes after a difficult period. West Coast's final two matches are against the Bulldogs and the Crows.
