Monsoon Fury Kills Over 70 in HP, Devastates U’khand; Rains Likely in East India | Updates

Incessant rains in northern India have caused landslides and floods, resulting in the death of at least 71 people in Himachal Pradesh and significant destruction in Uttarakhand. Himachal Pradesh has experienced losses of Rs 7,200 crore since June 24. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh for the next two days and in Uttarakhand for the next five days. Flash floods have occurred in several districts, including Kangra, Shimla, and Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, and Rupnagar in Punjab. Rescue operations are underway, with over 10,000 people moved to safer places.
