How the FBI goes after DDoS cyberattackers

The FBI has been targeting Ddos Cyberattackers, focusing on taking down websites that sell DDoS-for-hire services. In December 2022, the FBI announced the takedown of dozens of such websites and the arrest of seven individuals allegedly running these services. The FBI has also targeted booter sites in May. The investigations into DDoS attacks and the creation of replacement pages for seized websites were led by the FBI office in Anchorage. DDoS attacks have evolved over the years, with law enforcement partnering with the private sector, academia, and other law enforcement agencies to combat the problem.
