Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor has revealed that a new treatment for his stage four prostate cancer has extended his life by five years. Taylor, 62, missed the band's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year due to his illness. He shared his diagnosis with his bandmates in a letter, which was read out at the ceremony. Taylor explained that he had kept his diagnosis private to avoid making a fool of the band. The guitarist is currently receiving a targeted treatment that kills stage four cancer cells in the bones.
