Colombia Prosecutors Confirm Arrest of Father of 2 Of 4 Children Lost 40 Days in Jungle

The father of two of the four Indigenous Children who survived a plane crash and spent 40 days in the Amazon jungle has been arrested in Colombia. Manuel Ranoque, the father of the two boys and stepfather of the two girls, was arrested for reasons undisclosed by the authorities but believed to involve allegations of abuse. Ranoque had been fighting for custody of the children with their maternal grandparents, and their mother died four days after the crash. The children have been in the custody of Colombia's child protection agency since leaving the hospital.
