College Athlete Learns His Teammate Donates Plasma to Afford School–So He Gave Him His Scholarship

Brian Dooley, a collegiate athlete at Eastern Michigan University, gave up his full-ride Scholarship to his teammate, Zack Conti, who was struggling to pay his tuition bills. Conti had been working odd jobs and selling his blood plasma to make ends meet. When Dooley heard about Conti's situation, he approached the coach and asked if he could transfer his scholarship to his teammate. The coach praised Conti's work ethic and announced the scholarship transfer during a team meeting. The whole team celebrated the gesture, and Dooley's final year of eligibility will now be self-funded.
