ED Moves Delhi HC Against Relief to NewsClick, Says Probe Revealed Money Laundering Offence

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a petition with the Delhi High Court seeking the vacation of an interim order that directed no coercive action against the news website NewsClick. The ED claims that the website propagated Chinese propaganda in India and that it has uncovered evidence of money laundering and scheduled offenses. The New York Times recently published an investigation revealing how NewsClick was allegedly funded by China to spread propaganda. NewsClick has denied these allegations and stated that they operate independently and in accordance with Indian law.
