Almost three months after Cyclone Mocha hit Myanmar's Rakhine state, about 1.6 million people have still not received sufficient aid, according to aid workers and local residents. The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has received only $24.3 million out of the estimated $333 million needed for relief and rehabilitation projects in the cyclone-hit areas. Rehabilitation efforts are being hindered by inadequate support from the military junta and the international community. The junta has banned transportation for aid groups and mandated that all international aid must be donated through them.
