The Moroccan navy intercepted over 50 Migrants from sub-Saharan Africa attempting to cross to Spain. The migrants received first aid before being transported to the port of Tan-Tan. In recent incidents, the bodies of five Senegalese migrants were recovered, and 13 Senegalese migrants died when their boat sank. Five Moroccan migrants also died in a shipwreck, and six Moroccan migrants drowned while trying to reach Spain.
