South Korea is evacuating tens of thousands of scouts from the World Scout Jamboree as Tropical Storm Khanun approaches. Around 36,000 scouts from 158 countries, mostly teenagers, will be moved from the coastal jamboree site in Buan to venues in Seoul and the nearby metropolitan area. The British scouts have already been transferred to hotels in Seoul, while the American scouts were moved to Camp Humphreys, a US military base. South Korea expects Khanun to make landfall on Thursday with winds up to 95mph. The storm has already caused one death and 70 injuries in Japan.
