The Karnataka government has been asked by the Centre to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) to Tackle Traffic Congestion in Bengaluru, according to Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. Shivakumar discussed the issue with Union Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, who suggested that a DPR be prepared. The state government has already invited Expression of Interest (EoI) for proposals to ease traffic, with companies including one from Israel making presentations.
