Geopolitical risks are a top global threat to businesses, survey finds

The latest survey by Oxford Economics reveals that businesses consider geopolitical tensions as the biggest threat to the global economy currently. Around 36% of businesses see geopolitical tensions, particularly related to Taiwan, South Korea, and Russia-NATO, as the top risks. However, businesses are more confident that high inflation will moderate in the medium term. Concerns over banking system-related risks have eased, but some investors still predict potential regional U.S. bank failures. Over 60% of respondents view Geopolitical Risks as a "very significant risk" to the world economy in the next five years, which could trigger deglobalization.
