Shares of Chinese electric vehicle start-up Xpeng fell 5% after its head of Autonomous Driving, Xinzhou Wu, announced his resignation for personal and family reasons. Liyun Li, senior director of Xpeng's autonomous driving team, will take over Wu's role. Xpeng has been trying to recover lost ground to rivals Nio and Li Auto, as well as compete with giants BYD and Tesla in the increasingly competitive Chinese market. Despite losses, Xpeng delivered 11,008 vehicles in July, a 28% increase from the previous month. Xpeng aims to position itself as more advanced in autonomous driving technology than its competitors.
