Halfway Into Year, 249,000 Migrants Cross Darien Gap

Panama's government has announced that nearly 250,000 Migrants have crossed the Darien Gap this year, surpassing last year's record. The Darien Gap, a dense jungle spanning 165 miles between Panama and Colombia, has become a dangerous route for South American migrants heading to the United States via Central America.
