Pakistan police eye ISIS affiliate as suicide blast toll soars over 50

A suicide bombing at an election rally in Khar, Pakistan, has left at least 54 dead and nearly 200 injured. The bombing targeted a rally organized by the Jamiat Ulema Islam party, but no one has claimed responsibility yet. Police suspect that the regional affiliate of ISIS may be responsible for the attack. The party's leader, Fazlur Rehman, who supports the Taliban in Afghanistan, has previously survived two bomb attacks. The attack comes ahead of parliamentary elections expected to take place in October or November. The Pakistani Taliban has distanced themselves from the attack.
