Russia: African leaders attend Navy Day in St. Petersburg

African leaders joined Russian President Vladimir Putin for the annual Navy Day event in St. Petersburg. The presidents of the Republic of Congo, Mali, Eritrea, and Burkina Faso attended the event, which followed the Russia-Africa Summit held last week. During his speech, Putin praised the Russian navy's role in the offensive in Ukraine without mentioning the conflict directly. The parade involved 45 surface ships and submarines, with around 3,000 sailors participating. After the event, the African Leaders took a boat trip with Putin, where he pledged to implement the agreements made during their visit.
