Late Vanegas Goal Seals Colombia’s 2-1 Upset Over Germany 

Colombia pulled off a stunning Upset at the Women's World Cup by defeating Germany 2-1. Manuela Vanegas scored a late goal in stoppage time to secure the victory for Colombia. Alexandra Popp had scored a penalty in the 89th minute to seemingly earn Germany a draw, but Vanegas' goal sealed the upset. Linda Caicedo had scored a stunning opener for Colombia earlier in the match. Despite the loss, Germany is still expected to advance to the knockout stage. In the last games of Group H, Germany will face South Korea and Colombia will play against Morocco.
