Meta is revamping its Horizon Worlds virtual reality app in an effort to attract a larger audience. The company is launching an in-house studio called Ouro Interactive to develop first-party VR games, with the debut game, Super Rumble, already released. Meta plans to test the game on the upcoming mobile version of Horizon Worlds. The company has also made infrastructure updates to support higher-quality and more complex games and is working with third-party developers to provide compelling content. The move comes as Meta's Reality Labs unit reported a $3.7 billion operating loss and less than 200,000 monthly active users for Horizon Worlds.
