Senegal repatriates 50 migrants from Morocco

Senegal has repatriated 50 of its nationals who were intercepted in Morocco while attempting to emigrate to Europe. The Migrants were brought back from Dakhla, Western Sahara, due to health reasons. A total of 450 Senegalese migrants have been apprehended in Morocco recently, and the remaining 430 will be returned home by bus. Some of the migrants were in poor condition, and the Senegalese government reported that 260 Senegalese individuals in distress were rescued in Moroccan waters between June 28 and July 9. Crossing to the Canary Islands is a dangerous route for African migrants.
