A koala was spotted casually walking through the aisles of a Bottle Shop in Mount Barker, Adelaide Hills. The video, posted on social media, showed the koala seemingly unaffected by the attention it was receiving. Despite popular belief, koalas do not typically drink water but obtain most of their fluids from eucalyptus leaves and licking water off trees. Koala populations were greatly impacted by the Black Summer bushfires in 2019-2020, leading to their official listing as endangered in 2022.
