Polish city pushes for more green spaces as country is hit by heatwave

The city of Rzeszów in Poland is increasing its Green Spaces after a recent heatwave pushed temperatures up to 35 degrees Celsius. Trees act as natural air conditioners, creating a cooler microclimate in cities. Rzeszów worked with its residents to determine the best locations for new trees, with the aim of making the city more comfortable and satisfying for its inhabitants. This year alone, the city has planted approximately 1,000 trees.
