IAS officer Ranu Sahu has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Chhattisgarh in connection with an Alleged Coal Levy case. She is the second IAS officer to be arrested in the state for this case. Sahu, who is currently the director of the state agriculture department, had previously served as collector of coal-rich districts. The ED had conducted raids at her premises and attached her assets. The ED has been investigating both the coal levy case and a liquor scam in the state, which has led to the arrest of several bureaucrats and politicians.
