Manchester United has completed the signing of goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan for €51 million. Onana, who previously played under United's new manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax, has signed a five-year contract with an option to extend for another year. The 27-year-old Cameroonian international will replace David de Gea, who recently announced his departure from the club. Onana's distribution and footwork were praised by Pep Guardiola ahead of the Champions League final, which Manchester City won. United initially prioritized a top striker in the transfer market but the need for a new goalkeeper became evident as doubts grew over De Gea's distribution.
