Hollywood strike: Actors, writers take rallies to Philadelphia

Striking screenwriters and actors held a rally in Philadelphia as the Hollywood Strike expands to more cities. While Los Angeles and New York are the main centers of the strike, there are smaller locals across the country representing performers and writers. The rally in Love Park featured actors Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lisa Ann Walter, and David Morse, who expressed concerns about the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on their livelihoods. Both the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and the Writers Guild of America have voted to strike, with key issues including residual payments and the use of their work by AI avatars.
