The Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Jammu and Kashmir has reopened for traffic after a day-long closure due to landslides and mudslides. The closure was caused by heavy rains in Ramban and Udhampur districts. All stranded vehicles have been cleared, and two-way traffic has resumed. Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta, has emphasized the need for strict action against slow-moving vehicles and overloaded trucks. He has also set deadlines for the completion of the Ramban flyover and Banihal bypass projects.
